WHAT IS HOLI?
Apart from having lots of fun there is a real reason to celebrate HOLI !!!
Holi, known as the “festival of colors”, is celebrated on the day of the full moon that falls in the month of Phalgun (February-March). Various colours and water are thrown over each other, between loud music to celebrate Holi. Like many other festivals in India, Holi also means a victory of good over evil.
How to play Holi?
Enjoy safe and eco-friendly Holi
It is very important to take care of your body and the environment while playing Holi. Make sure you use non-toxic colours that are easy to wash off. This saves water and does not harm your body. Discard packaging and excess colour responsibly. Do not use any industrial chemicals or colours which can be toxic.
Play with colour
Spread the colours on your friends and family to make them colourful and start the festival of Holi. The colours are not toxic and do not stain, so have fun playing with them.
Play with water
Sprinkle colored water with pichkaris. A pichkari is a water pistol to sprinkle colored water as a fun way to celebrate Holi. Mix a little colour with water and then add it to the pichkari.
Play some loud music and dance
Enjoy the celebration by dancing in the colours to the rhythm of music. Sing songs and let your body move to the rhythm as you celebrate the arrival of spring and enjoy delicious traditional Indian meals.
